The Maserati Ghibli benefits from the 8-speed ZF automatic transmission. Lightweight, this high-performance automatic executes precision gear shifts, and is controlled by auto-adaptive software that is able to recognize driving style and road conditions and adapt to the gear-changing mode accordingly. There are five operating modes: Auto Normal, Auto Sport, Manual Normal, Manual Sport and I.C.E. (Increased Control & Efficiency).
The servo assisted hydraulic steering system of the Maserati Ghibli helps ensure optimum “feel” at the wheel, with no annoying impression of artificial assistance when cornering at high speed. Specifically designed to make driving as much fun as possible, the Ghibli’s steering system is light and smooth at all times, even when parking. The superb steering feel in all situations is further enhanced by a new aluminium steering box.
The tapered design of the trunk is the natural continuation of the cabin, and the two LED tail lights provide continuity with the rear fenders and rear bumper. Sporting performance is emphasized by twin exhaust tailpipes and the vast selection of wheels available, from the 19" Poseidone design (standard) up to the optional, forged 21-inch Titano design, which speaks the language of the purest Maserati style by integrating the Trident logo into the spokes.
The frameless door windows help to give the Maserati Ghibli the look of a sleek coupe, even though its length and wheelbase are amongst the longest in its class. The side of the car is defined by two curved lines that converge, before giving way to the rear flanks.
With a look that is glamorous yet assertive, the design of the Maserati Ghibli makes a striking impression. Like the first Ghibli launched back in 1967—designed by the young Giorgetto Giugiaro—it captivates with its strong personality. From the front, the Ghibli is dominated by the distinctive Maserati grille, and while inspired by the traditional oval shape, it acquires a more rectangular form, narrowing at the top to meet aggressive front headlights.
The Maserati Ghibli is a car that places no limits on its driver’s desires and preferences, revolutionizing the concept of customization in the sports sedan segment.

Such features as state-of-the-art 900 watt amplifier at the heart of the system, delivering stupendous sound quality, whatever the source: radio, CD, iPhone® or any other similar device.
The center of the dashboard features the traditional Maserati clock with blue face and aluminium details. The large 8.4-inch display of the Maserati Touch Control, the access portal for the entertainment technologies, is the control center for most of the onboard devices.
The seats have a wraparound form, underlining the interior’s sporty feel and guarantee top-class comfort. The optional all-electric front seat adjustment system makes it easy to achieve the perfect driving position in terms of height, depth and the angle of the back and seat. The roomy rear bench seat accommodates up to three passengers.
